MY STORY

I honestly "never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up." I was a flight attendant, a bartender, I climbed the corporate ladder in finance. Trying to find my way to happiness. It wasn't until I attended my sisters homebirth that I had my "aha" moment.

During her labor I watched her be surrounded by women. She was vulnerable, she was working hard, and she was being encouraged and loved. She was cared for. She felt safe. She was a warrior! She was the only thing that mattered in the room (as it should be!)

My corporate job had me crying daily. It just wasn't the fit. I caught myself thinking back to my sister's birth often...and one night, I googled a 'doula'. It made all the sense in the world that this what I was meant to do!

I trained at the most beautiful farm with Mothertree International. I have read as many birth, breastfeeding, and postpartum books I can get my hands on. On my free time I listen to birth podcasts? Why? Because I love it.

Being a Doula is the most fulfilling, amazing, and awe-inspiring journey that I actually get to call "my job." My clients and I have meaningful relationships. Every birth I have attended impacts me, and I hold those life-changing moments close to my heart. Anytime I am hired to be with my clients in their sacred space its an honor and pleasure.

Now when I cry after work, it's because I'm getting to do my dream job, and for that I will always be grateful. To my past clients- thank you. To my prospective clients- I can't wait to meet you!

MY PHILOSOPHY

I truly believe that birth and postpartum experience is the most life-changing time for a couple. How parents feel in their birth process matters, and as their doula I am there to help them have a positive birth experience!

As part of their birth team, I am there to bring peace, joy, and comfort to each parent meeting their baby. My commitment is that client's voice is heard and their sacred space is protected.

A birthing couple deserves to feel loved and cared for as they do this work to meet their baby. Moms deserve to feel safe during their birth experience and it's my goal to bring trust and care to every client's birth so they can have the most empowering experience.
