52 Ways a Postpartum Doula Brings Sanity and Support

Having a baby is the most life altering experience! Families find themselves having so many emotions and needs and the support of this transition is so poorly recognized. Enter the Postpartum Doula!  So what exactly is it then that we do? A postpartum doula is a trained professional who specializes in caring for the family unit as a whole after they have a baby. That means we are there on the front lines of sleepless nights, diaper blowouts, endless newborn questions, breastfeeding tears and everything in between. Some would liken Postpartum Doulas to being a magical fairy grandmother! All joking aside, there is nothing easy about bringing home a new baby, but if mothers and fathers are tenderly supported in those first days to months, we believe that they can thrive.

Check out this list of 52 ways that a postpartum doula helps after birth and brings more sanity to life with a newborn!
